Wicket docs
How a gate works
A gate is a proxy URL in front of your origin. A request with no payment gets an HTTP 402 that states the price in USDC, the network and your payout wallet.
When the caller pays and retries with proof of payment, Wicket verifies the settlement on Solana and forwards the request to your origin. Your API sees a normal request and returns a normal response.
Payouts and custody
Payments go directly from the payer to the wallet you set on the gate. Wicket never receives or holds funds, so there is nothing to withdraw.
You can change the payout wallet at any time. New settlements use the new address, and earlier ones stay on the gate page as they were recorded.
What the counter measures
The public count includes only settlements that were confirmed on Solana and matched to a gate. Test mode payments and failed origin calls are excluded.
Unique payers is the number of distinct wallet addresses that paid at least once. Each settlement on the gate page links to Solscan so anyone can verify it.
